July is a time to shine a light on an important topic—mental health in minority communities. This month honors Bebe Moore Campbell, a writer and advocate who worked to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness, especially in Black, Indigenous, and communities of color. She believed in creating safe spaces where people could share their struggles and find the support they need.
At SpectraCare, we know mental health care isn’t one-size-fits-all. Cultural barriers, access to care, and stigma still prevent too many people from getting help. This month is a great reminder to listen with empathy, learn from one another, and make sure our services—and our conversations—support every member of our community. Let’s continue creating a workplace where mental health is openly talked about and where help feels welcoming to all.
