May is MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH. Mental health awareness Is an important issue. SpectraCare will be taking this opportunity to promote good mental health and support mental health and wellness. A committee of your peers has met and scheduled a month full of activities that will be fun while reminding us of ways to promote good mental health. Below is an overview of our activities and specific details will be coming in the days.
Activities will include:
- T-shirt Day – EVERYONE that turned in their T–shirt order form received a specially designed T–shirt! T-Shirt days to begin on Friday, May 2 and continue each Friday in May. Please take photos of your staff wearing their T-shirts and send to marij@spectracare.org for social media.
- “Don’t Let Your Story End Moments” – Throughout the month, various employees will answer what “Mental health / don’t let your story end” means to them. Details will follow on how to access these mental health videos.
- “You matter” campaign – During the month, your facility will be given a traveling banner to display for a few days. Please take a photo with your employees with the banner and send to marij@spectracare.org. We will also have smaller banners going out to the day treatment facilities to have patients sign.
- “Random Acts of Kindness” – Kindness starts with yourself. Treat yourself with care, forgiveness, and self-love. Being kind and giving yourself grace makes it easier to spread kindness to others. Each day throughout the month we will have suggestions to practice random acts of kindness.
- Giveaways – We are excited to announce that we have some AWESOME BASKETS to giveaway throughout the month. Our gifts are provided by each area of service at SpectraCare. Just remember to watch for more announcements about this fun time.
- Other activities and giveaways are being planned so watch for more details!
All this planning was done by a wonderful group of committee members. Let’s thank them for planning a fun-filled month of activities to bring more awareness about your personal mental health and wellness.
Stay tuned for specific information in the coming days.
